When the Hurlyburly's Done . . .

The sinister UEFA Champions League last 16 draw has materialized:

FC Porto v Chelsea
Celtic v AC Milan
PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal
Lille v Manchester United
Roma v Lyon
Barcelona v Liverpool
Real Madrid v Bayern Munich
Internazionale v Valencia

Let the laughter and sobs commence!

Aww, geez. I really didn't want Liverpool. They're so stubborn defensively, and well-organised.

ManU and Chelsea should be counting their lucky stars. Real and Bayern will be boring as hell, going on current form for both teams. Poor Valencia - what kind of reward for finishing top is on-form Inter?

Yeah, Mourinho must feel pleased today, though I'd be wary if I were ManU. Lille could have a few surprises for them. But ManU seem pretty strong right now, so . . . .

Laporta cracked me up today when I read his comments about the draw in The Guardian:

"It's the city where the Beatles were born and it will be very interesting," he continued. "I really like the Beatles and I think it will be very entertaining to go to The Cavern and visit the city, it will be an added incentive in this draw."

Oh yes, Barca is not like other teams.
